General Guidelines
As in every other class, students are expected to students are expected to come to Art class prepared and ready to work. They are to follow the Middle School Code of Conduct, follow all classroom directions, and meet all specific class requirements.
Students will be expected to maintain an Arts folder, in which they will be assigned monthly formative assigments .
Student artwork will be graded based on four criteria as follows:
1. Expressing creativity by exploring options and taking risks in artwork
2. Understanding and implementing the elements of art and the principles of design
3. Exhibiting good craftsmanship by focusing attention on details
4. Understanding the project requirements, and following through to completion
4. Participating in class discussions and putting forth best personal effort
All Art projects are graded using the following rubric.
