HERSTORY PROJECT

"HERSTORY" WOMEN WHO MADE HISTORY "
Herstory is a term for history written from a feminist perspective and emphasizing the role of women, or told from the point of view of women. It originated as an alteration of the word "history", as part of a feminist critique of conventional historiography, which in her opinion is traditionally written as "its history", that is, from the male point of view.
Bibliography used for the development of this project:
‘Herstory: an illustrated history of women.’ From prehistory to #MeToo, the history of women has been a constant struggle to conquer new spaces of freedom. From a critical perspective, it reviews the milestones, lurching and resistance of this struggle, fought for cnturies by determining figures and collective initiatives.

“ELLAS CUENTAN,” this book is part of the “Orgullosa de mí” collection, launched by sm publishing house to promote equality through reading.
This book proposes to rescue from oblivion the biographies of 50 outstanding women.

The Herstory project in the EPVA area is inspired by the artist's work "FACELESS"
Coco Davez. These are faceless but easily recognizable portraits, made with colors
blueprints. The students will make this type of pop portraits of different outstanding women.

Here you can see the portraits of the women that we are going to do in class.
